SW Regional Cyber Crime Unit, and covers the five force areas; Avon & Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, Dorset, Gloucestershire, and Wiltshire.
In line with the National Cyber Security Strategy we work to disrupt those engaged in cyber dependent criminal activity, protect those businesses and organisations that may be at risk, and identify and divert young people away from cyber crime.
We work to help small and medium businesses, local authorities, charities, government agencies, health, education, and critical national infrastructure become more resilient. We do this by providing clear and simple advice that does not have to cost anything to implement.
Our cyber security advice is developed by the National Cyber Security Centre (part of GCHQ). We have a capability to deliver desktop exercising to test an organisation’s preparedness in the event of a cyber incident, enabling them to enhance and develop their contingency plans.
We work with UK and International partners to identify, pursue, and convict those involved in cyber attacks.
